霹靂魔術師問：「佛陀！這場經典一哩賽好亂呀∼我想到頭要爆炸啦．．．．．．但有『俊歡騰』、『開心』及『永利好』，點買好呀！？」
佛陀回答：「魔術師先生，忘記了學過的《孫子兵法》了嗎？亂局當前，我認為當日應先靜觀其變，跟著再細心揀『俊歡騰』、『開心』同『永利好』買Q，只要心能平靜對待賽事，頭自然唔要爆炸，難道還看不到其中奧妙？」
感到珠機處處的魔術師回應說：「我完全明白你的指點，就跟佛陀的做法吧。南無阿彌陀佛∼」

Magician with pig leg asked "Buddha ! This Mercedes-Benz Hong Kong Classic Mile is very diffcult to select horse, I think my head want Vivi Macau......but still have Floral Pegasus, Survey Survey and All's Well....... teach me how to buy ?"
Buddha answered "Mr Magician, can't you member the book of The Art Of War ? I prefer watch what happens first on that day, then select from Floral Pegasus, Survey Survey and All's Well to buy Q. If you can read the race in peace, so the head never be Vivi Macau, can't you get what I am talking about ?"

Should these three words "watch what happens" be capitalized?

If you stop me from betting on the so-called false favourite(s) (W-odd below 4), I'd prefer to WATCH. ^_^
(P.S. Forget what I have said above if the top favourite goes to 開心. I will then go ahead to bet against it.)

pig leg for 霹靂 is so cute!

What do you think of 爆炸 (rating 98)? If the trainer thinks that the horse has no chance in this race at all, he could have entered it in the Class 2, 2000m race (Race 9) as part of its Derby preparation. (Moore hasn't entered any horse in Race 9). Seems that trainer is confident that the horse will get at least a placing and hence a big increase in the rating. I am considering to use 爆炸 as Q/QP banker and the four topweights as legs. What do you think?

From VF point of view, there is no good reason to pick 爆炸 as the banker.
To enter the Class 2, 2000m race, 爆炸 will carry 131LB to run 400m+. The trainer will then be too harsh for it.
Moreover, comparing the title and prize money of the 2 races (Classic Mile ($8M) and the Class 2, 2000m race ($1M)), it is natural that the owner opted for the former race for reason of vanity. After some time, he will say "爆炸 is a good horse ah, though he hadn't participated in the Derby, he was one of the runners in the Classic Mile which was a HK Group 1 race!" (設計對白)

So you mean any horse of W-odd below 4 in this race will finish before 開心 at the wire, don't you? What do think about WATCHWHATHAPPENS?

WATCHWHATHAPPENS (奇異福星) is now rated at 85. Should it win, wonder what the rating increase will be? In fact, what is the biggest ever rating increase?

Just kidding! As an international punter/handicapper, I will give more weight to the latest RPRs of the contenders than their HKJC's ratings. ^_^
